At Canvey Junior School, the safety and well-being of our children are our top priorities. We are dedicated to creating a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our school is committed to safeguarding all children and young people. We have rigorous policies and procedures in place to ensure that everyone in our school community—staff, parents, and volunteers—understands their role in safeguarding our students.

Safeguarding is a collective responsibility. We work closely with parents, external agencies, and the wider community to create a network of support for our children. Open communication is key, and we encourage parents to reach out if they have any concerns or questions.

In addition to creating a safe physical environment, we empower our children with the knowledge and skills to keep themselves safe. Through age-appropriate lessons and discussions, we foster a culture of openness and resilience.

Our staff and governors undergo regular training to stay informed about the latest safeguarding practices and to ensure that our school remains a secure and caring place for all. We believe that continuous learning is essential in maintaining a safe and supportive school community.

If you have any concerns about the well-being or safety of a child, please don't hesitate to contact our designated safeguarding leads. Your vigilance and partnership are invaluable in maintaining a safe and happy learning environment for everyone.
