    • 3 & 4 Year Old Funding (FEEE)

    As the nursery is attached to our infant school, the earliest children can start attending is the day after their third birthday. The 15 hours or 30 hours can now be used from the day after their third birthday, providing it has been set up and approved through a childcare account on gov.uk before the end of the previous term (August, December or March). If parents and carers are not eligible, the 15 hours funding will start from the term after their third birthday and sessions attended before this would need to be paid for. Terms start in September, January or April.

    15 Hours Funding

    As a parent/carer of a child aged 3-4 years old, you can take up to 15 hours of free early years provision per week. This is known as your child’s Free Early Education Entitlement (FEEE). All children are entitled to these 15 hours per week. If eligible, this can start from when your child turns 9 months old and ends when the child reaches compulsory school age.

    30 Hours Funding

    An additional free 15 hours per week (i.e. a full-time place) will be available for families where both parents are working or the sole parent is working.

    The school will continue to offer a number of spaces for families who qualify for 30 hours of free childcare. The Government introduced the 30 hours free childcare from September 2017.

    Parents not eligible for the additional free 15 hours may still access a full-time place by paying a top-up fee for each additional session (morning 8:45am-11:45am, lunch 11.45am-12.30pm or afternoon 12:30pm-3:30pm).

    Early Years Pupil Premium

    3&4-year-old children who get the FEEE might be able to get the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP). The EYPP gives providers extra money which they can use to support children’s learning and development. If you are on benefits and think you may be eligible, when completing a termly funding form, please fill in the EYPP section. If you have any questions, please speak to a member of staff.
